Quite a few years back, I crossed the High Sierra mountains mid winter with snowboarding legends Tom Burt and Jim Zellers. National Geographic Photographer Bill Hatcher documented our seven-day Sierra Crossing. Here is a photo from that trip. I am preparing to traverse a slope behind Jim, who is up in the distance.
